A few months back, a lively discussion on the current state of historical romance was set off by two blog posts: one at Dear Author and another at AAR. The discussion sparked several other excellent posts on the subject. (A nice round up can be found here.)
Historical romance is my favorite kind of romance. It’s what I write and it’s what I read. The romances on my keeper shelf, the ones I would save from a fire (after rescuing the kids and the pets, of course): all historicals.
So when Evangeline Holland announced she was planning on hosting a Historical Romance Week on her blog, I was beyond excited. All this week, we’ll be celebrating and discussing our favorite genre of romance there.
The awesome Emma Barry kicks things off with a post about what romance can (and can’t) tell us about history and yours truly has a post coming up about Marie Curie’s cookbook. So please stop by!
